Cambridge University Rugby League Football Club is proud to announce the date for the inaugural Cambridge University 9s Tournament, which will be held on Sunday 9th November. Matches will take place between 10am and 2pm at our new home, Volac Park on Grantchester Road.
Each college has been encouraged through existing squad members to form a team and participate in this University-wide event, which will use the shorter format of Rugby League, comparable to Union sevens.
The club is looking to talent spot during the day and expose more of the student population to rugby league. CURLFC projects over 100 players will be taking part on the day. There will be prizes for the winners and charitable proceeds from the entry fee of £10 per team.
Cambridge Rugby Football Club have been most helpful in allowing full use of their facilities for the event, with food and bar open all day.
We will also be holding a two-minutes silence at 11am to mark Remembrance Sunday and show our respect for those who gave their lives in battle.
