Preparation for the 2017 Rugby League Varsity Match kicked off last week as Varsity Match Director and head of MR Sport Mark Ramsdale and his associate Jack Baker met with Varsity Liaison officers, John Hobart and Craig Winfield. Mark has been responsible for the smooth running Varsity matches of the past four years and was responsible for the match moving to the majestic Honourable Artillery Company ground. The success of the match over the past few years has seen crowds of up to 1000 (not including the masses of office workers gazing intently from the surrounding offices) attend the spectacle. The meeting even included a surprise drop-in from Rugby League legend Mike Stephenson.
